Car owners might want to consider getting backup license plate cameras for cars, trucks, RVs. Backup license plate cameras are as easy to install as a license plate! Not only are backup plate cameras a snap to put in place they also respect the look of your car's body because there are no holes to drill.
Backup cameras provide increased security and protection when reversing or parking. Steer clear of expensive damage, collisions and pedestrian accidents.
Basic Kinds of Rear view Safety Cameras
Bar type rearview cameras are made to slide easily over the standardized bolts in place to attach your license plate. Bar style license plate cameras sit over your license plate giving you a low profile appearance with perfect placement for seeing what's going on behind you.
Full-frame backup safety cameras are nothing more that a custom license plate frame with a sophisticated video camera integrated into it. Just remove the current license plate from the bolts that affix it to the car, put your plate in the camera frame then re-attache the new frame back to the car, truck, RV or any other vehicle.
License plate hole cameras insert into the hole on any standardized license plate set up. Just stick it in and you are ready to go. Its that fast!
Image Resolution on Backup Cameras
Image resolution are all about the level of detail and quality of the feed your backup camera takes. Its obvious that a better detail image is going to allow you know more clearly and more safely what‘s going on behind you thereby improving your safety. Elements influencing video quality include:
Lens Type – The kind of lens used in your rear view camera will be either CCD or CMOS. They have many technical differences that we dwell upon right now. However, while CMOS lenses can give good value and tend to be used to reduce cost CCD lenses for the most part indicate a product built to produce higher quality images.
TV Lines - the higher the count of TV lines indicated on the specifications of the camera the better. Measuring TV lines is like dealing with pixels with photographic images. Higher number of TV lines provides significantly greater detail and crispness to your video image.
LUX rating - a lower LUX rating means the unit requires less ambient light to get into the lens to create the image. LUX is based on candle power yes I said candle power... 1 LUX means the camera needs the equivalent of one candle approximately a yard away. Therefore, 0.1 LUX means one tenth of a candle is needed.
Infra-red lighting on Rear View Cameras
For a backup vehicle camera to achieve true night vision or a 0 LUX rating it needs to provide its own source of light. Generally this required light will be provided by your vehicle’s own lights or parking lights but can also be gotten by adding infra-red LEDs to the unit itself. Infra-red lighting is not visible to the human eye and would allow you to use your rearview camera without any car lights on so you could see in total darkness.

Mini cameras are simply a digital lens mounted onto a miniature circuit board. Mini security cameras are usually only 1x1 inch so they are ideally suited for security camera setups where a low profile is needed.
Mini security cameras are frequently used for hidden surveillance camera system monitoring. Some board cameras even use pinhole lenses. The average hole size on a pinhole lens is 1/16” diameter. This is the only part of the camera that needs to be showing in order for a picture to be obtained.
There are two types of pinhole lenses – flat and conical.
With their smaller hole size the pinhole lens will have a slightly lower resolution than the board lens. which is usually 1/2 inch in diameter, this allows more light to get in.

Metal detector scanning units have a large role in ensuring a secure environment from hand-held scanners at clubs or public events to scanners in government agencies or prisons. These devices have been in existence for much longer time than we realizes.
Metal scanning functions using the physics of electromagnetics. Metal detectors use their battery power to radiate a magnetic field that scans the surrounding vicinity.
The main inner workings of metal detectors is the principle of electromagnetic induction. The device contains one or more inductor coils that are used to react with metallic objects. The coil contains a part known as a transmitter that draws upon the battery power to generate a magnetic field that reacts with any metallic object in the field. The metallic object then becomes magnetically charged and thereby easily detected.
The coil also contains a charged wire known as the receiver. The receiver senses any alteration in the magnetic field it is near. It is very sensitive to recently magnetized material and activates an electrical signal back to the operator.
The best metal detectors can detect through most surfaces and find metals that could mean there is a security threat.
Security metal detectors are designed to offer scanning in sensitive areas. Hand held metal detectors can be used by themselves or together with walk through metal detectors. Hand held metal detectors are less expensive, radiation free, lightweight, highly sensitive, and require only light maintenance.
The best metal detectors are usually, often fully computerized, with microchip technology to let the user to select sensitivity, discrimination, track speed, threshold volume, notch filters, etc, and hold these settings in memory for frequent use.
You must find a high-volume and versatile metal detector with lotsof features. Consider the choice to keep the alarm audible or silent by either including an ear[phone, using vibration or relying on bright LED lights to alert you to the presence of metallic objects. The length of your unit and the distance of the magnetic field it can create. You must be able to scan crowds speedily without having to get too close or having to bend over too far to check shoes and feet. Although most weapons are made with steel but plenty are not. So, you need a metal detector that can detect ferrous, non-ferrous and stainless steel weapons, tinfoil and other metal objects.
Our growing problems regarding weapons detection in our own cities metal detectors seem to be a permanent fixture.
